WE WILL ROCK YOU OPENING IN MANCHESTER + QUEEN SINGSTAR
The hit musical We Will Rock You is set for its premiere in Manchester, bring along with it the tall statue of Freddie Mercury to stand proudly at the front.
In an interesting twist, playing on drums in the Manchester musical will be none other thanRufus Taylor, the son of original Queen drummer Roger Taylor. At 18 years old, Rufus is already proving himself to be a skilled drummer just like his father - as you can see here when Roger (lead vocal) and Rufus (on the drums) played on a set together in London earlier this year:
In other news, Sony are officially releasing a Queen version of Singstar. The PS2 game includes the band's greatest hits, from Bohemian Rhapsody to A Kind Of Magic.
QUEEN + PAUL RODGERS AT WEMBLEY ARENA [8th Nov. 2008]
Nearing the end of their packed European tour for The Cosmos Rocks, Brian May, Roger Taylor and Paul Rodgers rocked Wembley Arena on the 8th of November. The setlist featured the usual array of giant hits, like I Want To Break Free, We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions, Radio Gaga, and, of course, Bohemian Rhapsody - but the setlists have also included a myriad of new songs from The Cosmos Rocks.
There was a small hiccup in Brian's performance of Love Of My Life when the guitar string broke but he handled it beautifully.
Queen + Paul Rodgers are headed for Dubai, Santiago, Bueonos Aires, Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro for the final leg of the massively successful tour.
